Ability Fest

APRIL 7, 2018

Dylan Alcott Foundation, Untitled Group & triple j present Ability Fest, an all-inclusive festival that will officially launch the Dylan Alcott Foundation (DAF) by encouraging everyone - regardless of gender, disability or race - to come together in celebration of live music.

The venue will be fully accessible for, and inclusive of, all patrons, including AUSLAN interpreters visible for main stage acts.

100% of proceeds from Ability Fest will be donated to DAF - a charitable organisation with the core purpose of helping marginalised young Australians with disabilities gain self-esteem, fulfil their potential and achieve their dreams.

Money raised from Ability Fest will offer scholarships, mentoring and grants to applicants to help these individuals achieve their sporting, vocational or personal goals. This includes, but is not limited to, providing wheelchairs to participate in sport, university scholarships and purchasing equipment to assist in day to day life.

Untitled Group and DAF hope to shift the paradigm of the current music landscape for young Aussies with disabilities, to better integrate able and disabled bodies at these events by building inclusive environment for all.
