Coburg Velodrome was established in 1979 as Australia’s first concrete Velodrome.
Velodrome Events services a diverse range of community and ticketed events, hosted at the iconic Coburg Velodrome and surrounding Richards Reserve, on behalf of the Coburg Cycling Club and its community partners.
Situated in the heart of Coburg North's industrial district, the Coburg Velodrome was established in 1979 as Australia’s first concrete Velodrome. Since 2015 the Velodrome has played host to many concerts, food festivals, outdoor cinema screenings and charity fundraisers.
Coburg Cycling Club
Originating in 1896, Coburg Cycling Club is one of the oldest cycling clubs in Australia. The club has been home too many great riders over the years and will continue to foster riders into the future. Coburg members have competed prestigious events such as the Tour de France and the Olympics, and have won many National and State Championships.
Coburg owns its own club rooms and velodrome, which are located in Melbourne’s northern suburb of Coburg.
The 250 metre velodrome is one of the states premier cycling tracks.
Members across all levels of cycling are welcome to join. Coburg members race locally at club level, and compete all the way up to an international level. Members often arrange group training rides and social occasions.
